Two Prong Strategy Conversion of Coal To Liquid Small & Mid Scale LNG Life Cycle Pakistan Coal Reserves World's Seventh Largest Industry Best Practices USGS Methodology: Geology-based Assessment During 2017, USGS Reconfirmed "Technically Recoverable Resources of 164 million barrels of oil and 24.6 trillion cubic feet of gas Region: Lower Indus Basin, Pakistan Source URL: U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Water Resources Integrated System (WARIS) AMCO-MRC Houston Energy Conference 2014 During 2014, with the active participation of US State Department and Government of Pakistan (GoP), an Energy Conference was organized in Houston by Pakistan Consulate Houston Texas USA. During the conference, President RESOCHEM Corp. Dr. Aziz Ahmed Siddiqi presented the Action Plan and consequently RESOCHEM Corp. Director Special Projects Mr. Mohammad A. Mirza traveled to Pakistan. However, GoP decided to buy LNG from Qatar. USA Strategy As per National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory System, Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) takes advantage of the same chemical reactions of coal to produce product gases, as those occurring in conventional gasifier reactors. The main difference is that in UCG the underground coal seam itself becomes the reactor, so that the gasification of the coal takes place underground instead of in a manufactured gasification vessel at the surface.
